SYNOPSIS

In the 1970s, the young Wu Liou would go to Kinmen to serve in the military. In front of his house, he bid farewell to his Buddhist father, Jhih-Fu Liou. With his father’s blessing, he “left home” to join the army. Unfortunately, a year later, he was killed by enemy forces. Liu Zhifu would never see his son again…

After more than 30 years, one night, Jhih-Fu Liou came to a Buddhist temple to pay homage. At this time, he saw a young monk Wu-Shin Shih (Wu Liou’s reincarnation) who looks like Wu Liou. Jhih-Fu Liou, driven by the pain of losing his son and conflicted thoughts about Buddhism, went to ask why he “left home” to become a monk at such a young age?

In front of the Buddha statue, An old man questioned the young monk about all kinds of things in the world…
