About Us - THUS HAVE I SEEN

Started in 2009 by Dharma In Action Limited, the Thus Have I Seen Buddhist Film Festival (THISBFF) is the longest-running and only biennial Buddhist ﬁlm event in Singapore.

The Festival features documentaries and films from around the world that explore the immense cultural, social and spiritual diversity of Buddhism. THISBFF also provides a platform for film lovers to access and contemplate the Buddha’s timeless teachings of wisdom and compassion, through these specially curated films.

In line with the Buddhist spirit of inquiry, we hope to engage the audience through post-show dialogues with the filmmakers, to exchange thoughts and reflections arising from the films. THISBFF is run entirely by volunteers and sustained by the goodwill of donors and the Buddhist community. Please click here for ways that you can support us.

Dharma In Action Limited (DIA)

Dharma In Action Limited (DIA) is a Company Limited by Guarantee officially incorporated in Singapore since 2009. Our mission is to present cultural and educational programmes rooted in Buddhist values and philosophy to the local community. We aspire to provide a dynamic platform for the exchange of ideas and cultivation of friendship to promote a society of compassion and wisdom.

DIA activities are organised mainly by volunteers from all walks of life and various age groups. Thus Have I Seen Buddhist Film Festival is our signature biennial event. We are always looking to develop new events and look forward to suggestions from the community.
